5 Things To Do In El Paso This Winter If You Didn’t Have Back Problems

I’m here to share with you today the Top 5 Things To Do In El Paso If You Didn’t Have Back Problems.
Now, we’ve been asking all our current back clients of people that we’re seeing for back problems over the past few weeks what they’re most looking forward to being able to do this holiday season now that their back problems are getting better.
So in no particular order, here are the top five things.
#1 – Ice Skating ⛸
Believe it or not, there are 3 known ice skating rinks in El Paso.

I know we’re in the desert, but you can actually rent ice skates and get out on the ice and get the feeling that you live in one of the northern states where they actually have ice on a regular basis.
It’s just so much fun.
If you’ve ever been, it is fun to just watch people all goofy on the ice and you yourself trying to keep your balance.
Of course, there’s risk for falls, so if you’re back feeling better then it’s a lot easier to get out there on the
ice and have the confidence that yeah you might get sore from your legs, but at least your back problem
won’t get any worse.
It’s fun for the whole family.
They always have kid-sized ice skates as well.
I recommend you take pictures and it’s tons of fun.
It’s really not that cold in El Paso, so no need to worry about bundling up too much right now.

#2 – Downtown Lights At The San Jacinto Plaza 🎄
They open on Saturday, December the 2nd.
They’re actually going to have a parade that leads up to the lights being turned on at the plaza.

I got to go last year, and they have done a phenomenal job with redoing all the Christmas lights, all the
holiday lights downtown at the San Jacinto Plaza.
It’s great times for taking pictures, enjoying a warm beverage of your choice, there are vendors there that sell coffee and hot chocolate and things like.
It is fun. There’s a lot to see and it is a great time.
#3 – Holiday Shows 🎭
There’s plenty places over town that put on productions of classic holiday movies and stories like:
These events, of course, require sitting for a while.
For some people with back problems, sitting can be not too comfortable. But since they’re feeling better they’re going to be able to tolerate it better now.
#4 – Christmas Lights At Houses 🏡
So there’s two in particular that I want to mention that my clients have been talking about.
The Eastridge Lights are kind of classic here in El Paso.
It’s a neighborhood off of McRae, heading towards the east side.
There’s an abundance of Christmas lights put on all over the houses and people drive through the neighborhood.
There’s a lot of really neatly decorated houses.
One client in particular of ours loves to walk through the neighborhood so that they can truly appreciate the lights a little bit more than if you drive, because you end up going a little bit faster.
Plus there’s a lot of traffic through that neighborhood as it gets closer to Christmastime.
The other holiday lights that are notorious here in El Paso over the past 10 years or so are the Fred Loya Christmas lights.
They have a national reputation. I think they were on a show and won some award for the best Christmas lights in the U.S.
So if you’ve never gone out there, we got to go a couple times.
It is awesome. They have a synchronized light show.
They start Friday, December the 1st and they go at six, seven and eight on the hour is when the light show starts.
When I’ve gone in past years, they’ve got refreshments like hot chocolate, there was a Santa, there was people taking pictures like professional photography.
So it’s kind of an event. It’s not just drive by and see the lights.
They actually have the road blocked off and security, so you have to walk on foot.
It’s right off of Montwood Drive near Montwood High School. So check that out this holiday season.
#5 – Sunbowl Football Game 🏈
This is one of the most common things we’ve been hearing from our clients is the Sun Bowl football game, coming up on Friday, December the 29th.
Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m., and right now they haven’t decided who’s going to participate in the Sun Bowl as of the time of this video, but the projections are Louisville and Oregon.
So you might see Louisville the Cardinals or Oregon the Ducks come to El Paso.
If you’ve ever been to the Sun Bowl game, it’s a blast. It’s usually a really, really good game.
It’s a national stage, it’s televised and everything.
But the people that come in from the universities make for a cool environment.
The bands are playing at half-time.
It is just a fun show to go to, a fun football game.
There’s always a great half-time show as well, so that’s something that is so much fun to check out.
