Is knee pain ruining your life? Is it limiting what you can do and keeping you from enjoying the things you love?

If you're worried that the knee problem will get worse if you don't do anything about it then this message is for you.

It is 100% possible for you to fix pain in the front of the knee!

You don't have to suffer with knee problems the rest of your life!

There’s a root problem that doctors, surgeons, and physical therapists are NOT trained to see or treat.

It’s the root problem, usually a muscle imbalance, that has always been there hiding. It’s not visible on an X-ray or MRI.

A muscle imbalance is when there is a muscle on one side of a joint that is working too hard because it has been compensating for weakness in other muscles.

Muscle imbalances cause too much force to go through the knee joint and put excessive stress on the cartilage, tendons, bursa, and everything else in the knee. Knee joints are designed to take forces so that we can move, exercise, and do all our daily activities.

When the muscles are in the RIGHT balance, then the knee joint will NOT hurt because it's taking forces the way that it was designed to.

But if there is an imbalance, then the cartilage, tendons, bursa, and other parts of the knee get compressed, tensions and over stressed too quickly. This leads to pain, irritation, and even swelling. And if the knee joint doesn't get a chance to heal properly then the knee pain can become chronic and even lead to damaged cartilage and tendons.

If you see a doctor or physical therapist for pain in the front of the knee, they might diagnose you with Chondromalacia Patella, Knee Tendonitis, Knee bursitis, Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, Runner's Knee, Jumper's Knee, and if you're still growing they might say you have Osgood-Schlatters Disease. These conditions all share the same root muscle imbalance, it's just a matter of what part of the knee begins to hurt first.

Doctors will offer you pain medications, injections, and in some cases even surgery! Some doctors may send you to physical therapy and the therapists will do their best to help you...but they often don't know how to correct the root problem because they tend to specialize in helping patients recover from surgery.

You'll know what I'm talking about if you've ever been to a physical therapy clinic and seen all the patients on the machines and tables. Most are there because they had a knee, hip, or back surgery in the past month or 2 and they're attending physical therapy for the after care.

By default, the physical therapists there become specialists of what they see day in and day out. They're helping people recover AFTER surgery! They are not specialists in helping people AVOID surgery.

And if you go through treatment at one of these clinics, and you don't get better they'll refer you back to the surgeon to see what treatment they have next for you.

But these treatments only help the pain temporarily and miss fixing the root problem.

Pain medications dull the pain for a few hours. Pain injections can help for a few weeks, maybe a few months at most.

Surgery smoothes and/or removes cartilage that might be causing pain, but it doesn't fix the reason that the cartilage was injured in the first place.

Medications and injections have side effects that can cause damage to your vital organs, tendons, and ligaments. Surgery has risks - it might not work, you could develop an infection that requires another surgery, or most commonly - people just don't like the overall outcome of the surgery because of the continued pain and limitations that they still have to live with.

No one in the medical field is focusing on correcting muscle imbalances as a long-term solution to healing anterior knee pain. It's not taught in healthcare schools because there is no scientific research for it.

BUT people that go through this treatment approach frequently tell us:

"This just makes sense."

"Why didn't they show me this in physical therapy or at the doctor's office?!"

"This was much more simple than other treatments I've done, but this really works!"

Even if you've been told you have cartilage damage based on an x-ray or MRI, you have excellent potential to correct the muscle imbalance and take the bad pressures off your patella to allow your cartilage, tendons and bursa to heal. And once you've healed and properly managed to correct the muscle imbalance, you will be able to confidently run, jump, and even do weighted squats and lunges.

We've helped patients who've had failed lateral patella release surgery, debridement surgery, and even microfracture surgery, get back to feeling pain free in their knees after going through our treatment approach focused on correcting the root muscle imbalance.

Think about that. These people once had knee pain so severe that they desperately agreed to have a surgeon do an operation in hopes of fixing the knee problem once and for all, only to be let down because of continued knee pain after the surgery. Then they go through our treatment process and fix the root cause. This has left them happy that their knee is better but also regretful about their surgery.

Our treatment approach is two parts. The first is taking pressure off the joint to give it a chance to calm down and begin to heal. The second is correcting the muscle imbalances so that you're not repeatedly aggravating it in the future.

Even if you decide to have a surgery, the muscle imbalances will still be there (usually worse because of the muscles that have to be cut and become weak as a result of the surgery and the recovery after.)

And those lingering muscle imbalances begin to affect the lower back, the other knee, the same knee, the hips, and nerves. This leads to people just giving up on making their knees better after surgery and they just accept it and learn to avoid doing anything that flares up their knee joints.

Then as time passes, they blame their knee problems on old injuries, failed surgeries, and age, when in reality THEY JUST NEED TO FIX THE ROOT MUSCLE IMBALANCE!

Unless you're okay with mediocre results, surgery, medications, injections, and general physical therapy are NOT good long-term solutions!

Fixing the root muscle imbalance is the only way to get long-term relief from Chondromalacia Patella, Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, Knee Tendonitis, Knee Bursitis, Runner's Knee, Jumper's Knee, and Osgood-Schlatters Disease.

Ignoring your knee cap pain just makes it worse!

It's not uncommon for us to hear from people that they took some pain medication, or got an injection and then just crossed their fingers hoping the knee pain would completely go away and never come back.

Some people don't use medications and just rest it in hopes that the pain will calm down if they give it time.

They treat it like a bad nightmare that they'll eventually wake up from and be done with it. But knee problems can quietly linger, dormant for a time before rearing itself when you least expect it.

And sometimes the pain will calm down but this may give you the feeling that it's gone when in reality it has just flared down a bit and but is ready to act up again once you take a bad step, take longer than usual running errands, or pick up something a bit too heavy.

Other people grit through the knee pain and keep up their usual activities, then they pay for it over time as the pain becomes more intense, more frequent, and begins to swell too.

Waiting for knee pain to just go away on its own has consequences like:

Keeping you from exercising over fear of making it worse
Avoiding work around the house because even kneeling to pick up something from the floor hurts
Developing hip and back problems because of limping
Increasing the chances that you'll develop a meniscus tear or knee arthritis later in life

Most people we treat in the clinic that have had anterior knee pain have been in a routine of taking pain medication weekly (even daily) for months! And many have had injections for stronger pain relief.

All of them contemplate and worry about needing surgery if it doesn't get better, especially if it's already been offered by a doctor.

Meanwhile, the overlooked and untreated muscle imbalances just fester over time, making the knee pain worse as the months go by.  We’ve all seen it!

And because there are so many muscles that connect from the knee to the hip and to the lower back, it's just a matter of time before back pain, hip pain and the other knee starts to hurt too.

We've found that the longer the history of knee pain, the more common it is to see other related problems like hip tendonitis, hip bursitis, disc herniations, and sciatica all pile up for these poor people.

Did you know that the same root muscle imbalances that set up anterior knee pain are also the main cause of knee arthritis and even sciatica?

Hopefully, these are plenty of reasons to begin to take action on fixing your patella pain in your knee rather than ignoring the problem.

We know it's always possible to naturally heal patella knee pain once the right treatments are done.

We help our patients heal knee pain naturally without relying on pain medications, injections, or unnecessary surgery!

We see patients in our clinic weekly who have been coping with their knee pain by taking Aleve, Tylenol, Excedrin, Motrin and other pain killers. They're able to go through our unique treatment approach focused on naturally healing knee pain and end having to use drugs to be able to sleep and do normal daily things.

We even see patients who have had injections for pain and are considering having surgery if the injections don't work.

Then there are patients who are beyond injections and are signed up for a knee surgery. They visit our clinic as a 2nd or 3rd opinion before going through with the procedure. It's not uncommon for our clients to tell us that they've decided to cancel their surgery even just weeks into beginning to do our treatment approach.

Whether you just barely began having knee pain OR you've been suffering with chronic knee pain and are trying to avoid having knee surgery, our treatment approach has been successful in helping each situation.

The reason our treatment methods work in each case is because it is focused on correcting the ROOT OF THE PROBLEM.

There's almost always a MASSIVE muscle imbalance that has not been addressed by any healthcare professional.

That's why even those that have knee surgery can end up continuing to have knee pain after surgery!

Healthcare professionals are focused on using medications, injections, and surgery to treat pain in the front of the knee but all of those treatments are focused on treating the symptoms rather than the root.

And even physical therapists are not well suited to help someone avoid a knee surgery because most PTs focus on helping people AFTER surgery.

They give the same exercises to someone like you hoping to avoid surgery that they would give to someone who is recovering from a knee surgery.

Exercises like leg lifts, heel slides, quad sets, riding the bike, and hamstring stretching.

But all those exercises actually make the root problem WORSE! They are not the right exercises to do if you're looking to heal from knee pain naturally for the long-term.

And if those exercises don't work for you, your therapist will give up on you and tell you to go back to the surgeon. But what they're not able to tell you [because they're not specialty trained] is that your case has exceeded their knowledge and ability to help you. They're told in their schooling to punt this case back to the surgeon and let them take over.

Our specialty - helping people avoid surgery - is so NEW that it is not mainstream yet, there is no scientific medical research data available at this time, and you can't count on the healthcare professionals you're seeing to know about it.

The treatment approach we use is dialed in to specifically treat the underlying root problem that causes Chondromalacia Patella, Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, Knee Tendonitis, Knee Bursitis, Runner's Knee, Jumper's Knee, and Osgood-Schlatters Disease.

It’s this same treatment approach that we use in the clinic with patients in person that I’ve packed into 30+ videos in the Patella Pain Recovery Program.

It worked for our patients, and it will work for you.

Learn how to fix the root of the problem of your knee pain so you don’t have depend on pain medications, go visit the surgeon’s office, or rely on seeing a pain management specialist for the rest of your life.

Get back to doing things like:

Being on your feet as long as you choose without knee pain
Cleaning your home and yard without "paying for it" the next day
Lifting and holding small children
Not having to sit down and "take a break" to let your knee recover
Sleeping a full night every night without knee pain waking you up
Feeling confident enough in your knee to exercise without more pain afterward

It’s possible to reach these goals in more than 9 out of 10 people suffering from anterior knee pain.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will I have access to the program?

Lifetime access is granted as of now. That means you’ll have access to the program indefinitely. This gives you time to learn and implement everything you need to get your knee joints healthy for the rest of your life

Do I have to exercise every day? What if I have a busy schedule?

Depending on which phase of healing you are in there may be times when you need to do some activities frequently each day. There are some treatment strategies that only need to be done a few times per week to be effective. Prepare your schedule accordingly so that you can get the most out of this program.

Are there print out of the exercises?

We only offer videos within the program because it’s better explained that way than on a printable sheet. It’s best to review the video so that you can properly perform the exercise.

Will you explain how many sets and reps need to be done?

Dr. David gives ranges of reps and sets for you to perform for each exercise. The exact number depends on what you can tolerate without causing pain, while still using the correct muscles to do the exercise properly.

Is there any equipment needed?

Possibly. There are a few recommended pieces of equipment that you may already own. All of the items are available to purchase in the US through Amazon and most are available in first aid departments and sporting good stores in any city. It is possible to go through most of the program without purchasing any equipment and still have an improvement in knee pain.

Will this program cause more knee pain?

It shouldn’t! If you’re following the guidelines that Dr. David gives you, it should be comfortable to do everything in this program. He stresses throughout the entire program to avoid doing anything that causes more pain since that is likely to set you back. This is not a “no-pain no-gain” situation, instead it’s a slow down, or stop completely situation. Pushing into and through pain is likely to cause more irritation, pain, and a loss of mobility. It’s discouraged completely in this program.

Can this help me if I’ve been diagnosed with damaged cartilage because of Chondromalacia Patella?

Absolutely yes! In fact, this is the program you need to help resolve the root muscle imbalances to take the pressure off the knee cartilage and create more space in the knee joint. Patients in the program with known cartilage damage on an MRI have consistently been surprised to find that they can make fully recoveries. This challenges the medical field's general belief that "once cartilage is damaged, there's nothing that could be done about it....and surgery is the only way to fix it." Instead, it shows that the cartilage is compressed and must be uncompressed. This means you CAN avoid surgery!

What if I have a hip or lower back problem in addition to my knee pain?

Often people with hip arthritis also have herniated discs in the lower back, tendonitis or bursitis in their hips, both knees hurt, and there may even be sciatica present. These problems all have the potential to happen with anterior knee pain because they are part of the same root problem that causes it. As a result, we frequently have clients tell us their other problems improved (even resolved!) as a result of going through this treatment approach.

Do you offer support if I have a question?

Yes! We have email support. This program is designed to be a self-paced comprehensive program, but you can reach out if you have a question. Email us at info@epmanualphysicaltherapy.com if you have a question. We’ll do our best to get back to you as fast as we can!
